Main objective:
for all participants to experience "the body
of Christ" by getting to know at least 100 fellow young catholics, especially the 9 others in their small group! This get-together is not a jol! It will be fun and the weekend will definitely be enriching. BUT….Don’t book if all you want is a jol! We want much more than a jol! Disciplined behaviour will be expected throughout!
There will be food for thought for the individual participant obviously, but mainly we hope to have lots of take-home ideas for use in your parish groups.
Process:
- All the participants will be divided into small groups composed of max 10 participants all shuffled in advance from the reservations’ list.
- It is intended to be an interactive DIY (Do-It-Yourself) kind of weekend.
- 4 main sessions on relevant topics will be opened by guest speakers, leading to questions in small groups, followed by open forum time.
Transport:
A Bus from Cathedral and Southgate and back: R20 per person (return) can be arranged if at least 20 participants confirm their wish to use this facility by the 29th February. The bus will leave the parking in front of the Cathedral no later than 18h00 sharp and Southgate Central parking space at 18h20! U miss it, u find your own way!

The first 100 applications will be accepted on a first come-first served basis, with a maximum of 3 from any single parish.- We do hope to have a broad representation from all 8 regions of the diocese and as many parishes as possible.
Total fee per person:
R120. (not including transport)
This is already a special rate subsidised by the youth department.
