DIPLOMA OF BIBLICAL MINISTRY PROGRAMME
About the Catholic Biblical Foundation
The Catholic Bible College is sponsored by the Catholic Biblical Foundation of South Africa About the Catholic Biblical Foundation The Catholic Biblical Foundation of South Africa (CBF) was founded in 1993, through the initiative of Rt. Rev Daniel A O Verstraete OMI, Bishop Emeritus of Klerksdorp, and the support of a number of religious congregations. It aims to further the biblical objectives of the Pastoral Plan of the Southern African Bishops' Conference. The CBF decided to establish the Catholic Bible College in 1997. The purpose of the Diploma programme is to prepare students for active involvement in a range of Bible- related ministries in the Church, particularly with youth. Living in the College residence as a member of a Christian community provides opportunities for personal growth, development of group skills, spiritual formation, prayer and the celebration of liturgy. Students follow a formation program covering such areas as personality, sexuality, human development, values, moral decision making and the formation of conscience. A program of accompaniment is offered as an aid to human and spiritual growth. |
